Description

The Active POE Splitters, POE Power Supplies, and other POE equipment provided by RF Linx can be used by the original equipment manufacturer to supply power to remote equipment without the expense of building in separate POE functionality.  These devices are a good fit for WLAN / WISP applications and the industrial market for sensing and remote video.  The high output POE power supplies offered allow for a variety of POE capable equipment to be powered remotely.

Applications

Using Power over Ethernet to power remote devices has many advantages including:

• The power supply can be located where it can be attached to a battery backup
  
• Power can be supplied over long distances (up to 300 feet)
  
• Power can be available wherever network access is without other limitations
  
• The user has to ability to easily power on or reset the attached remote equipment
